Estate Tempranillo 2008

The word “Joven” in Spanish means young and when placed on a bottle it is to indicate to the drinker the wine is Fresh, Fruity and alive. Having the 2 Tempranillo wines in the Glandore portfolio we set out to make this wine in that “Joven” Style. Fresh, Fruity and vibrant!

Lighter then Shiraz in colour the 2008 Glandore Estate Tempranillo has a deep garnet red at the core while it filters of on the edge to a blend of rose red and musky pink hues. As I sit here and write these notes I can smell the wine lifting out of the glass, a beautiful cherry aroma is the most dominate flavour with crème Brulee and floral characters mingling in to give the wine that vibrant fresh nose.

Tempranillo is without a doubt a the wine that has some of the most soft and silky tannins around. The Glandore Estate Tempranillo exhibits these tannins beautifully adding to the full mouthful of rich fleshy cherries and jubby fruit flavours to complete a youthful and vibrant Tempranillo.
