2014 Shiraz Cellarhands
Exclusively for Cellarhand Members
It was a real coup for us in 2014 to have access to fruit of this calibre. It was a mate of Duane’s that found it and we are incredibly lucky. The Comte Vineyard is old school McLaren Vale. Bush vines and over a century old there is an immense amount of history in the glass.
The region produces incredibly full-bodied wine styles that are best enjoyed when youthful fruit characters play the major role. There is great complexity from the hints of spice and rich cigar tobacco that add to the rich, jammy fruit flavours of this unique wine.
What to eat with it? Just make it big! Slow roast it, braise it, let it cook for days. This wine will stand up well.
