Black Label “Cameleon” Savagnin 2017

This style of wine pushes the bounds of the “New World” wine drinker and opens exciting new wine drinking doors.

The complexity is what normally throws people. It is not fruit driven. Aromas of roasted nuts, delicate florals and subtle parmesan like characters greet the nose. The palate is full bodied and rich with a viscosity that allows it to roll around the mouth with velvety abandon. The finish is textured, and the use of old French oak puncheons helped to soften and smooth out the feel. 3-5 years cellaring.

The richness and texture of the Caméléon allows a pairing with something bolder. We would like to suggest a crab or crayfish bisque. Maybe a dash of chilli?
