The 2017 vintage in the Hunter Valley was a superb year and we learnt a lot from the heat in early 2014. Patience was the key.
Bright straw in colour, the wine exhibits spiced apple, yellow peach and marzipan aromas. Fantastic chardonnay characters that follow through to a medium body with a creamy richness through the mid-palate. Citrus characters of orange zest add a liveliness to the palate and this is definitely one for the cellar. We would be more than happy trying this wine in 5-7 years.
Chardonnay and seafood is a fantastic match. We suggest a whole snapper roasted in foil with herbs, orange zest and olive oil. Serve with creamy chat potatoes.
