Description
A wine that balances our shiraz range offering greater fruit intensity and weight than its Hunter counterpart. With its pronounced deep ruby colour and aromatic intensity bouncing from the glass this wine makes you take notice. Black cherries and dark plums are ably supported by a dried Italian herb bouquet and aromatic cinnamon toast characters. The nose draws you in and as the wine opens up, a hint of dark, sweet liquorice presents. The palate is openly generous and vibrant. Showing itself for all its worth with crunchy cherry and sarsaparilla flavours refreshingly balancing the charry new oak and savoury spices. The generous fruit dominates the soft tannins leaving a mouth-watering finish to the wine. Great to drink but will age in the medium term. Enjoy over the next 5-7 years. Chargrilled BBQ lamb cutlets served with a chimichurri dressing would be an awesome match. Eat them straight from the bone and thank us later.
