An aromatic mash of florals, spices, fruit and savoury notes. Malbec has found its place on the Australian palate and looks as if it is here to stay. An intense welcome from the glass that is simply bursting at the seams with intense aromas and scents. Fruity boysenberry and subtle violet florals are backed up by savoury marzipan and fresh tobacco. Furthermore, dried bay leaf & rosemary herbs are wrapped in vanilla extract and orange peel. There is a lot going on. The palate shows significant generosity with a full bodied mouthfeel jam packed with dark fruits. Ripe tannins and oak spice give length and structure to a lavish wine. Awesome to drink now and will reward some short term cellaring. 3-5 years. Actually, pair this wine with a flavoursome rump steak, Bernaise sauce and a side of pommes frites and you have the perfect night in.
