First settled in 1865 Glandore Estate sits at the base of the Brokenback Range in the famed Hunter Valley region of New South Wales.
Blessed by a unique terroir and some of the Hunter’s most distinguished ‘old vine’ vineyards Glandore Estate wines are fastidiously made and distinguished by their remarkable character and intensity of flavor.
Boasting a new state of the art winery, all Glandore Estate wines are handpicked and selected from only the very best parcels of fruit. Basket pressed, they are by nature handmade and deliver both intensity of flavor and complexity with rare finesse.
In recent years, owner/winemaker Duane Roy and operations manager/winemaker Nick Flanagan have expanded their regional diversity and have been selecting small parcels of high grade fruit all across NSW. Orange, Mudgee, Hilltops, ACT & Tumbarumba have all contributed to a dynamic and progressive portfolio of wines.
Consistently over delivering at their price point, our wines offer boutique quality at mainstream prices and as such represent outstanding value across the range. With the recently renovated Cellar Door on Broke rd in the Hunter, the Glandore team are offering unique and memorable tasting experiences all nestled amongst the vines at the base of the Brokenback mountain range.
With the recent introduction of exciting new varieties including Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Pinot Grigio and an exciting new Sparkling Shiraz, you’ll find we’re also keen to produce contemporary wine styles designed to meet and satisfy the emerging tastes of the modern consumer.
I first was introduced to Glandore on a Food & Wine cruise about 4 or 5 years ago.
I remember that I was impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the Glandore crew and the
lack of the hard sell sometimes associated with these types of events.
Since that time I have attended several Glandore wine dinners, vineyard events and various wine shows,
and each event was conducted in a friendly and entertaining manner, I especially enjoyed the
‘Burning of the Barrel’ event at the Glandore vineyard.
At all these functions you were made to feel very welcome and that you are part of an extended family.
As for the wines I can honestly say that they are of very good quality and represent very good value for money.
My everyday drinking is the Regional Hunter Valley Shiraz and for up market occasions, I either select the
Ginger Rose or the Hamish Shiraz, these wines and others are some of my absolute favourites from Glandore.
I would recommend Glandore Estate Wines to any new or old wine enthusiast. Arthur Sisson, Cellarhand Member
