Black Label DPJ Chardonnay 2022

Description

This is a big one! Full on the palate and with lots of flavour our 2022 DPJ is a wine wanting to be taken seriously.

Apricot and banana chip esters are balanced by beautifully integrated French oak. There are hints of intrigue under all of this with subtle sulphide and fennel/star anise characters fighting for light.

The palate carries power and drive. Soft and seamless front to back the dusting of texture on the finish rounds out the generous stone fruit characters of white peach and nectarine. This wine will be loved by all but if you yearn for a full-bodied chardonnay then here it is. Drinking really well now and will continue to do so into 2030.

Full body needs full flavour and Roquefort blue cheese and chicken risotto will tick that box.
