Description

A wine that is not only beautiful to drink but a delight just to look at! Bright ruby red with a pale magenta hue, you know this is something special. Opulent red fruits are carried on a bed of perfumed dried flowers all the way to your twitching olfactory system. The further you go into this wine the more it reveals and with delicious port royal tobacco and fresh nettles giving further complexity, it is no surprise. The palate speaks to the aging capabilities of this wine. Beautiful to drink now but it will reward with time. A well balanced, medium bodied wine ably supported by lavish mid palate sweet fruit that drives the palate forward giving abundant upfront volume. The firm acidity delivers delicious length, carrying the fruit and savoury characters of vanilla and spice from the oak. The tannins are very fine and delicate but are no match for the authority of all that exquisite fruit. Enjoy today but be patient and cellar for 10+. Drinking well into 2033. As a food match, we can’t go past a sultry, simmering Beef Bourguignon. Crusty bread and fresh butter on the side. Say no more.
