We are gearing up for....

The Burning of the Barrel has quickly turned into an icon event of the Hunter Valley Food & Wine Festival. It is an absolute spectacular of an evening where, in a nutshell, we build a bloody massive fire, drink some very tasty wines, dine on some fantastic food, enjoy amazing soups, gorge on locally made cheeses, listen to some great music and have quite possibly the best night of the year the Hunter Valley has to offer!

In the past we have seen and tried just about everything and last years fireworks display was something to behold.

This year promises to be an absolute cracking evening and this year, from 5.30pm on June 3rd, Andy from the The Cellar Restaurant will be on the pans again dishing up an awesome fireside menu for you to enjoy.

As always we look after our Cellarhand Members. Simply use your Membership number as the 'Promotional Code' when purchasing to receive a discount on two of you tickets!

There is free parking available onsite should you be driving. However, there will be a bus service operating with set pick up and drop off times from around the Valley. You will need to contact the bus company directly to book your service.
Contact Vineyard Shuttle on 4991 3655 to book. $20/person return trip.

(The event will proceed rain or shine. Only exceptionally severe weather conditions will affect the evening, so come prepared for the conditions on the day. If weather conditions deem dangerous for the fire to be lit or put the patron’s safety is at risk, we may be forced to cancel the event. In these circumstances, no refunds will be issued.)

Welcome to Glandore Estate Wines

Glandore Estate Wines was established in 2005 after the procurement of the original Brokenback chardonnay vineyard on Broke Rd. From day one the aim of Glandore Estate wines has been to produce wines of great character, regionality and style from the traditional varieties known in the Hunter Valley. This has been achievable through the strict selection of some of the Hunter Valley's most distinguished old vine vineyards. Thinking out side of the square we have also started to forge ahead with new and exciting varieties to the Hunter Valley such as our superb Tempranillo.

Our winemaking style is all hands on, from hand picking right through to the hand operated basket press, quality without compromise and a winery that is designed specifically for small batch production of the very best parcels of fruit.
